Conventional roller shutter
A slatted curtain that winds around an axle inside a box; traditional configurations may use a strap, crank or motor. The box, guides, axle and dimensions are checked before selecting the format.

Thermal roller shutter
An aluminium shutter with slats filled with injected polyurethane, a configuration the manufacturer offers for thermal and acoustic insulation. Profile, density, box and opening determine the result; no universal performance is assumed.

Manual self-locking security blind
A manual shutter with slats and guides from a tested self-locking or anti-lift configuration; the bottom closure can prevent the curtain from being raised in certain systems. A resistance class belongs only to the certified assembly, after checking dimensions and fixings.

Motorised self-locking security blind
An anti-lift shutter assembly selected with an electric tubular drive; the motor moves the curtain but does not create a security classification by itself. Profile, guides, axle, limits and motor are coordinated according to the certified system.

Motorised roller shutter
A tubular motor installed inside the winding axle and connected to power and a control; limit switches are calibrated to stop the shutter at its positions. Selection depends on dimensions, material, weight, axle and existing guides.

Blind motorisation
A recommendation that starts with the opening
We often recommend considering Cherubini when the motor and its control suit the specific blind. Cherubini describes Open ZRX as a dual-radio motor for roller shutters, with CRC RX and Z-Wave, and Movi RX as a motor for roller shutters and vertical blinds with integrated radio. The family and operation are selected after reviewing the opening.
We assess weight, tube, measurements, limit setting, power supply, remote and protocol. We never assume a radio or home-automation system is compatible without checking the exact model.
